Week 5
7 hours
Monday
Description:
Today I finished up sorting hometown press releases into the different county folders. Scarlett had already moved most of mine from my folder into the appropriate folders, but I had to copy them and move the copy back into my folder. This took about an hour and then Megan trained me on SU clips. Last time I did National Placement Clips which are different than SU Clips. I caught on pretty fast after Megan explained how to sort and scan all of them. I then began mailing the copies to the appropriate people using the online school directory for the rest of my shift.
Unfortunately I have not had as much experience with clips as my peers. I was instructed on how to use the copier and how to sort each clip into different sections based what was written on the sticky note. It took me a little bit of time to get used to the copier, but I did catch on eventually.
Reflection:
Today was exciting because I had the chance to do clips. Even though this isn't the most interesting task in the world. I have not had much experience with clips yet. SU Clips are different than National Placement clips and there are a lot more of them. Although it was tiring I think I figured out my own routine/ system of how I like to do clips, so next time I will be even better at them.
Wednesday
Description
Today I started my shift by putting up the sign board in the front of Holloway Hall. Megan then had me copy clips which I had never done before today. Today I also inched for the first time and also sent out the copies to the correct destinations by using the school directory online. After thisI then continued to finish sending the letters for Hometowns in the mail for about an hour.
Reflection
Today I felt like I really learned a lot. I had a little bit of trouble figuring out how to inch correctly, but after I asked Megan i caught on. making copies of clips was pretty easy to learn and I feel comfortable doing that now. I always enjoy learning new things in the office, although it is scary learning how to do new things, I know I am getting the most out of this experience.
