Description:

Today I continued to write hometown press releases for the freshman honors society. Although I did this for the majority of the time, I almost completed my whole pile. I have only four to finish next Monday at the office and I have to go back and fix a few mistakes I noticed in my work.

Megan complimented me on my work ethic and said it was good how I caught up to the other practicum interns since I have Labor Day off. She also offered me the opportunity to work more hours since I am now 18 hours behind the other practicum interns.

While I was working on hometown press releases Megan gave me the media advisories to deliver to various staff members in Holloway like we had on the first day. This time I completed the task alone with little assistance from Megan.

 

Reflection:

Although the day was not that eventful I felt very confident. I was proud of the time I managed to get the hometown press releases done, with hopefully little to no mistakes. I also felt confident when Megan told me that some people have trouble delivering the media advisories the first time.

When Megan asked me if I wanted to work extra shifts I was nervous at first. After she explained there was no pressure I felt relieved but still decided that starting next week I will try to work an extra half hour to have some cushion just in case I get sick or something pops up.

Megan also said that she was happy with me because I have dressed professionally and up to her standards every day so far and she appreciates that. Overall, today I felt very good and confident and this will make me even more confident the next shift, when I am faced with new challenges.
